The 6th Annual Family Affair – Carnival for a Cause is jam packed with activities and entertainment!
Capture this special time with a family portrait. Back by popular demand, Classic Kids will conduct 15 minute portrait sessions of your family or just the kids. A limited number of sittings are available. Call Laurie Respass at 312-664-4462 x101 to reserve your time now! Classic Kids generously donates the $100 sitting fee to the Junior League of Chicago. So while you have a gorgeous black and white portrait taken (great Mother’s Day gifts) you will also be directly donating to the JLC!
New this year Bottles & Brushes will offer kids the opportunity to create their very own masterpiece! Local artists will provide instruction as well as all the tools and suppliess needed (easels, canvas, paint, smocks, etc). In these complimentary, supervised art sessions your children will learn techniques from professsionals and leave with a finished 11 x 17 canvas ready to be hung in your foyer! On stage the headliner entertainment this year is award winning Jeanie B! and the Jelly Beans. Jeanie B! has earned heavy rotation on the nationally renowned satellite network XM kids and just recently won a Parents‘ Choice Recommended Award for her newest CD: Mommy Knows Best.
MSA & Circus Arts has amazing performers that put on a one-of-a-kind show that involves juggling, tumbling, acrobatics, clowning and aerial arts. It will take your breath away!
Rounding out the entertainment program is Junior League’s very own Mad Hatters, a troupe of volunteers that bring both classic and new stories to life through songs, skits and, of course, the use of many colorful and unique hats.
