Thank you to everyone who supported Perfect Pairings this year! The Junior League of Chicago held the event on Friday, October 29th at Greenhouse Loft to share the perfect beverage with the perfect bite food. We partnered with local and national vendors to offer our guests a full menu with the ability to try drinks and food from all over! Drink vendors supplied wine, beer, champagne, and different types of cocktails. In addition to food and drink, there was raffle baskets, a wine pull and Kendra Scott held a pop-up shop. The event was a great kickoff to the return of in person signature events! The onsite event, along with the virtual tasting with Beautiful Rind, raised over $25K to support the Junior League of Chicago’s Child Enrichment community projects, Connecting Kids to The Arts (CKTA) and Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center (CCAC).

CKTA works closely with four community partners to give children the opportunity to express themselves creatively with the goal of raising their self-esteem and having fun during what may be a stressful time. At the same time, their parents are given time to either receive services themselves or take a much-needed break.

CCAC and its partners are the first line responders in Chicago to reports of sexual abuse, as well as reports of physical abuse in children under age 3. CCAC is the only not-for-profit organization that coordinates the efforts of child protection staff, law enforcement, family advocates, medical experts, and mental health clinicians under one roof. The JLC hosts family days that have a variety of activities for families to participate in while children receive services.
